Chapter 9
Later that evening, Kellen showed up at the Grove and brought the wrapped package with the stained-glass piece up onto the porch. Saoirse, Meggie, and Aunt Eileen were enjoying iced tea and mint chocolate cookies, sprawled out in the porch swing and chairs.
Sair sat up and brushed off the seat next to her when her aunt asked Kellen to come join them and poured him a glass of tea.
“You can sit here,” Sair said with a smile. “Thank you for bringing that here for me.”
“Are you okay?” Kellen asked as he sat beside her. “I heard about the wreck and everything that happened.”
“I’m going to be sore in the morning, but I’m fine. None of ours were badly hurt,” Saoirse said. “We were lucky.”
“Who were they?” Kellen asked.
