Chapter Six
Rizzo watched the countdown clock that marked when the auction would get started. She would be tracking every bid and bidder, and she’d already made sure her team was in place to get the girls to safety. Once the bidding started, Rizzo would collect all of the data, and when the auction was over, she’d move the payments to the hidden account while the girls were being driven to the safe house. The rest of the data would be sent anonymously to the FBI so they could do what they wished. Hopefully, that would mean they would be arresting the bidders and those who held the auction.
Her system was set up to do most of it automatically, but Rizzo never simply trusted the machines to do the work. Not when lives were on the line. She sat in her desk chair, feet up on an ottoman, e-reader in hand when her phone rang.
