Epilogue
One Year Later
The last of the boxes had been deposited in their apartment, so Meggie and Saoirse shut the door and dropped onto the sofa.
“How do we have so much stuff?” Saoirse asked as she stared around the room.
The apartment was a third-floor unit in a brick townhouse that was part of the SIN complex in College Park, Maryland. There were polished wood floors, gleaming wood trim on large windows that looked out over the courtyard full of trees and flowers, and a kitchen that had them both sighing with pleasure. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, and kitchen made up the space. Each had their own bedroom and bath with the third bedroom being set up as a shared office space.
“This place is huge,” Meggie said, then got to her feet. “We’ve got three days to unpack and get our orientation packets filled out before we start work. Let’s get things sorted and the beds made, then we can order a food delivery for dinner and work on the kitchen.”
Saoirse groaned as she got to her feet and went to work.
