Chapter Three
Thirty minutes on the heavy bag, then a round of yoga started Rizzo’s morning before she even had coffee. A shower and change of clothes and she was in the kitchen making herself eggs and a toasted English muffin when her phone rang. She tapped the button to put it on speaker.
“What, Finn? I’m making breakfast.”
“Good, I’m hungry. I’m at the back gate. Care to buzz me in?”
“Only if you’re alone.”
“I’m alone. And I brought donuts from Angelico’s.”
Rizzo hung up the call and moved the pan from the heat so she could walk over and check the security feeds. Seeing that Finn was, indeed, alone, she hit the buzzer to let him in through the back security gate. He had a code that would allow him to use the elevator when he got inside, but she refused to share the gate or front door codes with anyone. Her building, her rules.
