Chapter Fourteen
The trick, Rizzo knew, was to have the effects of a Farraday cage for her systems without making the room look like a mad scientists laboratory. In the loft, it made sense to have the bars and mesh, since the space was so vast and open. In the townhouse, that wouldn’t fit. So, she instead created a Farraday closet and had a closed system for her work computers with a second router outside of it for things like her phone and other devices that used Wi-Fi.
She preferred to build her own computer systems, so as the boxes of parts and pieces were delivered, she had stacked them up in the future office space. Tom was adjusting a few things to her taste while he finished up the last of the work on the house, and she looked forward to getting the conservatory and swim spa installed at the end of the month. She hadn’t told Blake yet, but she’d arranged with Tom to build it so that there was a second door that led out to Blake’s deck and allowed him access to the conservatory and spa from his place. It wasn’t a door between their houses, but it was a start.
